About Scott Plank
Scott Plank is the Founder and CEO of War Horse Cities, a Baltimore-based real estate and development firm. After a decade working at Under Armour in various executive roles including Vice President of Business Development, Scott founded War Horse in 2010 in order to pursue his passion for building sustainable urban environments and explore how these environments magnify our lives and relationships.
Scott oversees War Horse’s diverse portfolio of entertainment venues, 850+ apartments, 80,000 square feet of office, and 150,000 square feet of retail in Baltimore and its surrounding neighborhoods and San Francisco. His passion and curiosity for development began at the University of Maryland where he earned his degree in Urban Planning.
Scott’s brother Kevin founded Under Armour in 1996 and Scott joined the team in 2000. At Under Armour, Scott developed the beliefs and ideas that would mold his professional life – chief among them being that a place is more than just a jumble of bricks. Buildings are just as important to personal and professional missions as computers, sewing machines, or any other tools.
By 2010, Scott was responsible for half of Under Armour’s then 7,000 employees, a robust retail platform of 100 stores, 2 million square feet of real estate, e-commerce, expansion into China, a third of the company’s revenue, and half of its profits.
